Sorry it's so late....

>> Julie: Good evening. I'm julie chen. Welcome to "big brother 5." It's been over a week since our 13 houseguests walked into their new home, and already friendships are beginning to form and strategy is coming into play. Tonight, jennifer, the restaurant hostess from texas, and mike the commercial painter from michigan, are nominated for eviction. Which one will be the first houseguest to be evicted from the "big brother" house? Meanwhile, project do not assume, project D.N.A. Continues. First, jennifer and michael discovered they are actually half brother and sister. Now, a second shocking twist to project D.N.A. Since day two, identical twins have been switching places in the house and playing the "big brother" game as one, and the other houseguests have no idea. Tonight, you'll find out the identity of the twins and we'll see them switch places in the house live. But first, as the eviction approaches, the powerful influence of the four horsemen has its first setback as mike rallies the houseguest to take sides on who should go. Will it be jennifer, or mike?
>> Come on.
>> Good job.
>> Come on, drew.
>> Good, good, push, push.
>> With the four horsemen i have kind of become like in a leadip role.
>> Good job.
>> I think i have the intellect to sort of be the puppet master in the house. It's on, you know. The gloves are off.
>> Jennifer could help the four horsemen and, you know, four horsemen help her as well.
>> This game is...
>> This is a tough game. It's all right here. You know, we know it exists and we share the same father. Now we've got to go on and like it don't bother us.
>> I see one reason for nakomis to be evicted this week, and that's because she has a brother in the house. I don't think it would be fair for me to have my brother in the house.
>> I mean, I'm going to be honest with you. If you're going to get an alliance with someone in this place, you've got to trust that person.
>> Because I'm not in an alliance with anyone.
>> Gaining trust with the boys does have its perks, and I'm seeing them be H.O.H. And i see getting trust with them gets me here for a while and then me getting in with the chicks, is my stronger alliance, I'll be straightened away.
>> If i win H.O.H., I'll help you, and probably the same for you.
>> Michael feels more strongly about jennifer/nakomis about being his sister than she does about him. I think she's basically a person trying to connect in any way she can, and that's very dangerous. I think I would be just fine with jennifer walking out the door.
>> What's on it, cheese?
>> Mm-hmm.
>> Is it too much?
>> No, it looks perfect.
>> Here.
>> Is it cute?
>> Look at this.
>> You like it?
>> The holly and jase relationship is baffling. I think they like each other. I think that they are both a little bit crazy.
>> Little bird, do you want your little food? Come on, little bird.
>> I know they spend a lot of time together. They talk a lot.
>> Hey, lori, watch this.
>> Nope, sorry.
>> They are so annoying.
>> I want it now! Now! I don't want to fight with you.
>> He's like he likes her so much.
>> That sucks because everything I say to him he runs and tells her.
>> You smell good. You smell like apples and cologne mixed together.
>> She's so annoying.
>> I can't take it.
>> The relationship could be an alliance. It could be some kind of strategy. We're all a little bit weary.
>> There's a very strong alliance in the house that needs to be broken up. There is only one real alliance in the house, and it is jase and scott.
>> Am i the only one in here that sees this or what?
>> I definitely see it? And I've been trying to get to the people in the house. The biggest threat in the house to me is jase and scott. They are the threat that we should all be working against.
>> You guys got to do it while the numbers are against them, you know? It don't matter which one gos as long as one of them goes.
>> And then you think because jase and holly are a couple now that's anything?
>> Everything is something. I mean, cowboy and nakomis are an issue. They are family, they are related.
>> Yeah.
>> And you ain't got no brother sitting in here, know what i mean?
>> You're right.
>> I never really had a problem with mike. I actually don't feel 100% for mike being voted out.
>> What advice do you have for me?
>> If you want to win, they got to go, you know what i mean?
>> If you would get them two out, then everybody else, you know what I mean, equal type, you know what I'm saying?
>> I would love to have mike around for a little bit longer so I could pick some more of his knowledge out of his brain, so, you know, i could definitely say it would be valuable to keep him around.
>> I'll see you tomorrow.
>> I think I've done as much as I can do without being ridiculous about it. Maybe the ideas I've planted will take seed, and you never know.
>> I think the vote is going to be pretty unanimous. See how good of a job we did.
>> I think we did all right.
>> Next week H.O.H. Is mine.
>> It should be.
>> Anything can change here. It's totally expect the unexpected.
>> I think the four horsemen are going to make it to the end, I really do.
>> Let's hope.
>> Julie: Let's check if with our houseguests and see how they are going. Hello, everyone.
>> What's up, julie?
>> Julie: Michael.
>> Yes, ma'am.
>> Julie: First, you discovered jennifer was your half sister.
>> Yes, ma'am.
>> Julie: Now she's up for eviction. How do you feel about your sister possibly leaving the house tonight?
>> Well, julie, you know, it's like a hard situation, her being on the block but, you know, we've talked, you know, this week, and if it does happen, there's always outside the "big brother" house, and this is a great opportunity for both of us so we've always wanted a -- she wanted an older brother and I wanted a younger sister so here we are.
>> Julie: All right. Thank you, michael.
>> Thank you.
>> Julie: Lori.
>> Hi, julie.
>> Julie: HI there. You took the $10,000 and forced the whole house on P.B.A.M. J. For a week. Marvin was so happy about that. Any regrets about that decision?
>> I had a little bit of regrets at the beginning but everyone was really supportive. Everyone here is great. They have been great, so there wasn't too much complaining going on about it, so I'm pretty glad i did.
>> Julie: All right. Congratulations again.
>> Thank you.
>> Julie: Scott, is it -- is it my imagination, scott, or do the guys seem just a little bit more high maintenance in the looks department than the girls? Your hair looks great, by the way.
>> It's not me.
>> We have a lot of competition. The women look fine tonight so the guys, we need to step it up a notch tonight, so, yes, we're a little more high maintenance.
>> Julie: Good answer.
>> Good job, dude.
>> Julie: Thank you, houseguests. Coming up, have you figured out which houseguest has been switching places with their identical twin? We'll reveal their identities, and we'll see these look-alike switch places live. But first, two of the 13 houseguests are nominated for eviction. The nominees, jennifer and mike, are not allowed to vote, neither is jase, the current head of household. All votes are cast in secret in the diary room. Let's listen to what scott, holly, marvin and lori had to say as they were about to cast their votes.
>> At this point, i don't see another reason for keeping mike. He's too much of a threat right now.
>> Mike is a strong player. He's very intelligent. He doesn't want jase or scott to win. He feels that they are dominating the game physically.
>> Mike does know the game and so that does pose a threat to everybody in the house.
>> Jennifer, like i said, is very smart. She's using her differentness to kind of get some sympathy from the group.
>> Main reason i would vote jennifer out is she's just a little bit too cagey for me. She's not really shown a whole lot of her hand and when somebody don't show their hand, it shows you they got a little bit of game, you know. Something just ain't right. |

------------------------- TV Channel 10 Thu Jul 15 05:13:36 2004 ------------------------- >> Julie: Welcome back to "big brother 5." Project D.N.A. Is well under way. Just days after moving into the house, jennifer and michael made a shocking discovery. They share the same biological father. Michael has never met his dad. Jennifer has known him all her life. When michael and jennifer were first chosen to live in the big brother house, their parents had no idea of this family connection. They found out just days before the show began. Let's see how michael's mother and his newly found father are reacting to this incredible news. This season on "big brother" we have a shocking new twist. For the first time ever we have two houseguests who are related by blood. Jennifer has known her dad for her entire life, but michael has never even met him. >> That's a twist. What's going through my mind right now? I want to tell "big brother" thank you. I have always wanted a son, and up until now i didn't realize that i had one, and now i do. I wish i had known about him. >> With michael finding out on "big brother" that he has a half sister, that was great. "Big brother" brought a part of life to michael that he never would have had before. >> I always did wonder, you know, who was my real father, even when i was younger. Was your tad in the service? >> Yeah. He was in the army, served in vietnam, lost half of his foot and got medical discharge. >> Look at his face. >> Wow.R >> It's siking in. I just hope it doesn't hurt him. >> What's his name? >> Guy. >> Guy. >> When guy and i was dating, we talked about children. He didn't want to bring a child into this world that would have to go to war and to fight, and he always told me that he would just die if he knew that one of his offspring said go to war. >> What would you rather have, another brother or -- >> Sister, yeah. >> I don't know. It depends. I'd probably want an older brother. >> Why is that? >> I just thought it was great the way michael was questioning jennifer, bringing things up, and it made me feel good that he doesn't want to shock her. I'm hoping that she will appreciate michael like we all do. >> What's your dad like? Is he built? I mean, how tall is he? >> Bless his heart. >> Realizing jennifer was my half sister, i started looking at her face more. There is some resemblance. >> Yes, you look like her. Similarities that I see between michael and jennifer. They are both energetic. They are both positive people. I feel like there's a certain amount of family resemblance there. >> Maybe the relationship out of this house with a new family. >> I feel the same way. >> Got some letters. >> "I do not know where to begin. I will simply say I did not know of your existence..." ". >> "I did not know of your existence until recently. Life has a way of moving in the right direction." >> "You have two sisters and three brothers and there's always room in our hearts for more." >> I'm really excited for michael. I'm so proud that michael has this chance at a life to know another family. >> Michael, welcome to the family. I only hope that you want to expand this relationship. >> Julie: Michael and jennifer are just getting to know each other, but with jennifer possibly facing eviction, their time together might be cut short. Here's what karen, adria and drew had to say as they were about to cast their votes. >> I think that nick's unique uniqueness could be a strike against her. She's gotta toos all over her. She has nipple piercings. She's very, very positive. >> I see the positives, more than the negatives in people and i can't knock someone down because they act different, look different and smell different. >> Mike to me has been the father figure of the house. He's challenged me in a way as a person to challenge myself. >> Mike can be very belligerent and very opinionated. >> Jennifer, on the outside, has a different kind of, you know, different look. She's the kind of human that the more you get to know her, the cooler you find stuff out about the way she thinks. >> Julie: Let's talk to jase in his private bedroom and find out what it was like to be the first head of household. Hi, jase. Hello, jase. Jase, this is julie, can you hear me? >> Yes, i can. >> Julie: Just a reminder, the other houseguests cannot hear what you're saying so feel free to speak your mind. >> All right. >> Julie: First of all, being head of household you were able to use the spy screen in your bedroom to snoop on the house mates. So far you've told the four horsemen. Why haven't you told everyone else? >> I've kind of regretted not to tell everyone else but my plan is it must be the second H.O.H. That gets the option. I showed the four horsemen because i wanted to be loyal to them, build up trust in the beginning but I'll have to pull stuff off next week and act like I didn't know about it. >> Julie: Good luck to you there. >> Thanks. >> Julie: What do you like most about being head of household? >> I like it all. I could be head of household the whole time here. It's the perks. But the thing i don't like about it is maybe people weren't being as real just because of the H.O.H. Status, so, yeah, I'm looking forward to getting into the trenches with everyone else, next week for sure. >> Julie: Do you think it was good to be the first H.Oil. H.? >> I do and I didn'T. Initially I wanted to blow it. I wanted to blow it for like the first six weeks, but i was the first H.O.H. And with that I get to look everyone in the eye that's out there at the table, except for the people i put on the block, i like you, i will not put you on the block and I think that builds trust. Anything can you do to build trust is it. That's it. I'm going to lay low for the next six weeks. >> Julie: Thanks, jase. You can now head back into the living room. >> Julie: Coming up, power brother's first house eviction. Which person will have to say good-bye? >> Now let's go back to the living room where mike and others share their thoughts. >> Mike is caring and has a big heart. I think a few of us has seen that, but he is a player in the game. I think mike is a very shrewd player. I think he would be someone you would want to align yourself with because he's such a strategical player. >> Mike is a very, very great guy. I would love to keep mike into this game because i know that he would stand by me. >> Mike is someone who you would not want turning against you. I think that he's what you would call a silent but deadly player. I think that he very much observes. He's very good at kind of blending into the periphery. >> Jennifer being my sister would be a hard decision to vote her out this week, but i came into the "big brother" house to play the game for my fiance and our son. I've known them a lot longer. If jennifer should go, there's always time outside the "big brother" house. |
