She does do portraits, but she makes more money doing the sports-themed paintings. Her last portrait was a wedding portrait for an athlete's wife, a 6ft-tall painting, and received $5000 for it. Jen chimes in that she made $350 for something similar. Karen says that it took her time to get to that point, however. She has had to deal with people assuming that she should make less because she enjoys what she does, and she also points out that though she may ask a certain price, she might not get it.
