The songs indicate how delicate Erikas emotional status is in that she moves from periods of crying, to singing, to drumming on the table to putting her head down in sheer boredom. When she is apparently too bored to even listen to the music; Erika takes a break and goes back to her familiar pacing around the house before returning to her emotional roller coaster ride and listening to the music.
