relationship with a woman. He gains his strength from his relationship with God.
Diane's eyes are open in the HOH, she's dabbing her eyes with a cloth of some sort (t-shirt?).
CB talking about a friend who died when he was 19--not sure if he can talk about him because he didn't sign a release form. This guy didn't understand why he didn't have a relationship with a good girl, while CB had April. He ended up talking to a girl that he would date on and off, would call CB drunk in the middle of the night to ask for advice, which CB would give, as would April. He was great with Chason. He got this awesome job (this story has a point, I'm sure) making good buck doing construction pulling in two grand a week, and 50 cent bonuses for every week you were there--he could retire on a ranch in two or three years. He was going to have to travel, so we weren't going to be able to see him much. The day he was supposed to leave, the girl told him she loved him. He left for the job. CB talked to him Thursday before Mother's Day (following all this??), and his Dad's a preacher, but he didn't go to church either. He knew it was there, but he wanted to live his life anyway. He was excited that he was going to church and sitting with his mother. He came in Friday or Saturday night...I called him on Sunday to tell him Happy Mother's Day (???) and left him a message. On Tuesday I got the message that he had been in a really serious car accident. I called his family and got his mother. He was drinking and driving, had an accident, his parents found him (???) Kidneys, ribs separated, he was in the hospital two weeks, was doing great. His dad and I had a conversation--we hoped this was a wake up call. They got him off the respirator and they took him home. Then he passed away--his lungs collapsed or sumpin'. (???!) His dad was the preacher and he said, 'this is my family, you don't like what I have to say, you can leave.' Apparently the funeral was the same day that CB had to be in CA for the semifinals. The son had told his father that he was right with God before he died. A month before he died, a horse had fallen on him. 10 people were 'saved' as a result of the preacher's sermon.
April and CB had talked and had decided that as a 'treat', not a 'treat' but a thank you that they would pay any medical bills for this friend that had gone unpaid.
Drew was praying about how he would help out a friend if he won the money. His friend is a strong character, has problems in his chest (?).
CB onto another story about someone with throat cancer...
I think Diane has fallen asleep alone in the HOH... |
