A few things I missed earlier:
Lori's fiance Todd moved out to LA, too. He has a "real job", though, and hasn't been able to make many friends. Lori is on set all the time, though, with people her own age and has made friends--people she calls and goes out with.
She thinks all her family and friends back home will watch all the shows and revolve their schedules around it, but she's not sure about Todd. She thinks he might watch the weekday shows, but not the Saturday edition because "he likes to go out".
This didn't seem to upset her.
She told Will she is amazed that everyone she meets in LA just got there, and wants to be a star.
Lori: They don't have the talent, or the look, but they still think they're going to make it. It's amazing. I'm just like, good luck with that dream.
Lori: You can't get an apartment out here on a month-to-month basis because of the transitory people. They just come and go and you can't find a landlord that will do that.
One of her close friends from Boston moved out after she did and lives in Sherman Oaks, the town next door to Lori's town.
Will just hung on every word and asked if she met people that were schooled and skilled in other areas, but still wanted to try acting for a few years.
Lori: Oh yes, everybody! |
